Music as Therapy

Physical health is connected to emotional, mental and spiritual health

Empirical research on music has been shown to:

Lower blood pressure, heart rate, and actually improve the respiratory system
Reduce emotional anxiety and discomfort
Music helped mothers of premature babies produced 63 % more milk
Alzheimer's Disease with sleep regulation
influence the immune system.
Ill children improvement in physical endurance, developed muscle strength, and greatly improved posture and breath control.
People undergoing surgery require less anesthesia, awaken from anesthesia more quickly and with less side effects, and heal more rapidly when healing music is played before, during and after the surgical procedure.
Physical therapy is much more effective when combined with music.
Burn victims experience much less pain when music they choose and enjoy is employed during their treatments.

Music and Diabetes

Physical health is connected to emotional, mental and spiritual health.

Diabetes is unique among chronic diseases because treatment largely depends on self-management. Management is spiritual, physical and mental.
Music act on our minds before being transformed into thought and feeling.
Music influences the lower and higher cerebral centers of the brain.
Music stimulated beta cell activity in the organs
Music has been helpful in dampening pain by causing the body to release endorphins, hormones that counteract pain.

Jubal and Noah: Part 1

Jubal and Noah were blood brothers. But Noah didn't like Jubal. Because Noah saw Jubal as a lazy musician.

Jubal and Noah: Part 2

Soon after God announced the flood, Noah's wife came to him. with the following:

Mrs. Noah:

Noah! what are we going to do about music, art and culture when all of this flood business is over?

Noah:

No answer. (Guys, when your wife starts the conversation off with a question, you might as well go along with it, because whatever it is, the wheels are already in motion).

Mrs. Noah:

You men are not just going to work all day and get drunk all night.

Noah:

What do you mean?

Noah and Mrs. Noah - The Conversation: Part 3

Mrs. Noah:
I want you to let Jubal on the ark when the time comes

Noah:

No way, there is too much work to be done, Jubal is lazy and all Jubal does is to run around playing that guitar.

Mrs. Noah:

But he can help

Noah:

I tried to give him a job and he let the lions get to the sheep, the camels got out, The tent blew away because he didn't fasten it down right, then he got in my wine stash and wiped it out.

Mrs. Noah:

Are you sure dear, after all he is your brother

Noah:

No, No, No and I mean it ( if you find yourself say thing like "I mean it" or "I'm not playing" you have already lost)

Mrs: Noah:

Ok, Ok dear, don't get your pressure up

After the flood: Part 4

One day Noah was coming back from the fields and hear some music, laughter and singing playing from the women's tent. As he approached the tent - dead silence.

Noah:

Didn't I hear some music playing and weren't you all singing - and the music sounded like Jubal

All the women together:

We were singing but there was no music playing

Noah:

I could have sworn that I heard Jubal playing that guitar.

All the women together:

No guitar or Jubal here, see for yourself, you may want to get your ears checked

Conclusion

This is how music made it through the flood. Had it not been for the women, we would not have music, art and culture to this very day.

Lord! let your will be done

Each of us has a certain measure of spiritual gifting. It seems that healing is one of mine (I Corinthians 12:7-11). But let me not take credit - it is God working through me and my music (John 14:12). I just had to rise above the "put down" mentality, i.e., those filled with doubt (John 1:46). "Oh! it just couldn't me me or my music" or "Well heal thyself" or "Who do you think you are". - Hey! they put Jesus down why should I expect any different.

Nothing works for everybody all of time. However, playing this music seems to provide relief for hospitalized persons as well as the home bound. This I have observed over a 12 year period. It's all in God's hand.

Finally, even if a person make the transition to immortality, this means the end of suffering - they are in a better place - believe me - just make sure that your mourning is about them and not about how you feel.
